Ground Yourself Game

Anywhere. Anytime.

Big emotions are a natural part of childhood, but they can sometimes leave children feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or out of control. Ground Yourself is a playful, interactive card game designed to help children and adults learn simple, effective grounding techniques together. By practising these skills before they're needed, children develop the confidence and emotional tools to calm their minds, regulate their bodies, and navigate life's challenges with greater resilience.

  • Zero Setup Required: Play anytime, anywhere, no extra tools needed.

  • 5 Core Skill Pillars: Covers Breathing, Body Movement, Sensory Awareness, Emotion Body Scan, and Positive Self-Talk.

  • For Every Setting: Perfect for parents at home, teachers in the classroom, or therapists in 1-on-1 sessions.

How to play

1) Roll: The player throws the die to land on a grounding category.2) Pick: Draw a card matching the symbol (or choose any on a wildcard!).3) Practice: Everyone completes the activity together.4) Reflect: Spend 2 minutes after the game asking which activities felt best.Tip: Play 1 to 3 quick rounds during daily transitions, before school, after break, before homework, or at bedtime to build lifelong emotional habits.
